Hello. my name is David Swanson, and I was Honorably Discharged after 4 years in the US Navy. I was enlisted from August 1989 to July 1992 and served in the Desert Storm-Shield theaters aboard a Naval Aircraft Carrier. Im also a Disabled Veteran & I have been receiving treatment since 2005 and have been diagnosed with reflex sympathetic nerve pain dystrophy.

I am confined to a wheel chair and cannot walk because of very sever pain in my feet & Legs. I am on many medications such as Morphine, Transdermal Patches(Morphine Patches) and 4 different types of anti depressants and other medications for high blood pressure and A condition of the the heart called Afib. I take about 25-30 prescription medications a day & I am pretty much confined to a couch or bed all day, and have to use a walker to get to the bathroom. Im almost 100% dependant on my family and my wife Kathy. I am currently asking my Congressman for help, Congressman Mac Thornberry (TX-13) is currently trying to assist me in my plight for 100% Service Connection. 

As you can see, my wife does not have time or the ability to hold a job and take care of me and our 4 children , so we have been on food stamps and Medicaid for a few years now. We receive a cash gift from our local VA once a month and our friends try to help as well, but, some months, we struggle to make rent and utilities and make our car payment.
